GuildHE has responded to the Government’s consultation on the Transforming children and young people’s mental health provision green paper.

GuildHE shares government’s concern that the long-lasting impacts of mental health conditions are a ‘hidden injustice’, and would be keen to participate in a national strategic partnership with key stakeholders focusing on improving mental health among 16-25 year olds.

However, as students represent a growing number of the population’s young people between 18 and 25, we are concerned that the green paper devoted little attention to this significant section of young people.
