The higher education representative body GuildHE has welcomed the publication of the report of the Sub-committee for Teaching, Quality, and the Student Experience, and looks forward to working with the other representative bodies, the funding council and the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education in taking forward the recommendations.

Professor Muriel Robinson, Principal of Bishop Grosseteste University College Lincoln, Vice Chair of GuildHE and a member of the sub-committee said:

“We need changes in the current quality assurance system to adapt to the different circumstances and challenges faced by the sector.  We recognise that these are difficult times.  But, as noted in the report, whatever else needs to change, the UK HE sector cannot afford to compromise on quality.  That is a key point of principle for all GuildHE member institutions.  Our students come first with us – we owe it to them to ensure that they get the best possible quality of education.”
