A report has been published today by HEFCE on a framework for the Higher Education Workforce.

Professor Freda Bridge, Principal of Leeds Trinity University College and a member of the group that worked on the report said:

“The Higher Education Workforce Framework 2010 is in many ways a timely report for the sector. It highlights how the success of higher education is a tribute to highly motivated and talented staff who have contributed to a world class system of higher education. Through this workforce higher education must face the future challenges whist still remaining world class. This report has been published following consultation and analysis of relevant data. It also considered the impact of student expectations as well as pensions, pay and reward systems. It is clear that strategic management of human resources will be a key to the future success of our Higher Education Institutions. GuildHE institutions are known for their ability to adapt and change in difficult circumstances the report will support them in doing this to support their staff through the difficult times that we are currently facing”.
