Professor Freda Bridge is Principal and Chief Executive of Leeds Trinity University College, a post that she has held since September 2006. Previous to this she was Dean of the School of Education and Professional Development at the University of Huddersfield for over six years. Freda Bridge is well known in the field of Teacher Education having been Head of Education at Edge Hill University. She has contributed to many developments with the Teacher Development Agency including the evaluation and monitoring of research projects. Her research interests are in the field of Teaching as a Profession, an area for which she has an international reputation. Freda Bridge is a member of several national bodies and committees including HEA National Teaching Fellowship, GuildHE Executive, QAA Access and Licensing Committee, QAA ACDAP Committee, HEFCE Workforce Steering Group, Church Colleges and Universities Executive. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
