EU Funding Opportunities for UK HEIs - Humanities and Social Sciences Event
6 October 2010 , 09:00 - 13:00
Woburn House Conference Centre, London WC1
HEEFS will be hosting an information event to raise awareness amongst UK HEIs of opportunities to obtain EU support for activities in the area of the Humanities and Social Sciences.
Although perhaps not as well known as the EU Framework Programmes, there are a number of EU funding streams that offer support for work in humanities and social science subject areas. Programmes include, for instance:-
- The Fundamental Rights and Citizenship Programme
- DAPHNE (which is concerned with the prevention of violence against children, young people and women)
- The Civil and Criminal Justice Programmes
- The Lifelong Learning Programme
The event will outline funding opportunities available to support transnational collaboration that will be of interest to teachers and researchers active in subject areas connected with law; social studies and social policy; languages; education and lifelong learning.
