Apprenticeships within Higher Education Institutions

1 February 2010 , 10:00 - 13:00

Glaziers Hall, 9 Montague Close, London Bridge

This event will inform work based learning providers on the delivery of apprenticeships to staff working in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

Apprenticeships in the public sector include HEIs and many are yet to engage in apprenticeship training for their staff. This is currently high on the National Apprenticeship Service agenda as there are current targets to increase the number of apprentices working within HEIs by 1000 during 2009/10.

The event is being held during Apprenticeship Week to highlight opportunities for training providers in London’s HEIs and it will provide excellent networking opportunities.

The event will provide you with an opportunity to:

- Hear from a National Apprenticeship Service representative
- Hear from a provider about current good practice in partnership working with HEIs
- Become informed about the HEI apprenticeship agenda
- Networking opportunities
- Q&A session
