Since Autumn 2008 a group of GuildHE Chairs of Governors, Principals and Vice Chancellors and the Clerks have been working together to develop a new community of practice, part supported by LGM funding. The aim has been to set up a practical forum and business group for Chairs and senior governors of smaller and medium-sized HEIs – a Governors Executive Network - and thereby to create an ongoing community of practice to support the good governance of the higher education sector, alongside the work of the Committee of University Chairs (CUC).
